Good design starts with a good conversation.
Every project is different, so rather than offering a one-size-fits-all package, we begin by understanding your home, your ideas and what you’d like to achieve.
Our process starts with a free online consultation, followed by an in-home design consultation for projects where you would like to work with us more closely.
01 — Free Initial Consultation
A conversation to get to know you and your project.
Our initial online consultation is a relaxed opportunity to tell us about your home, your ideas and what you’re hoping to achieve.
We’ll talk through your project, get a feel for where you need help and explain how Dove House could support you.
It’s also a chance for us to get to know each other and make sure we’re the right fit for your project.
02 — In-Home Design Consultation
£375
A focused, in-depth session at your home.
If you’d like to take things further, the next step is an in-home consultation, usually lasting 1–2 hours, followed by a detailed email documenting all our discussions, thoughts and suggestions.
We’ll spend time in your home understanding the space, your plans and the way you want to live in it. Depending on your project, we might work through renovation ideas for the whole house, discuss layouts and finishes, or help you make decisions for a single-room refresh.
We can cover a huge amount in this session, and our aim is to leave you feeling clearer, more confident and with a practical direction for moving forward.
During the consultation we might cover:
- Your overall renovation plans
- Room layouts and how spaces work together
- Furniture placement
- Colour and material choices
- Lighting and electrical considerations
- Kitchens and cabinetry
- Finishes and fixtures
- Priorities for your project
- Ideas and practical solutions for your home
A clear plan for what comes next
After our visit, we’ll send you a detailed follow-up email capturing everything we’ve discussed. This will include our recommendations and suggestions, products we’ve talked about, priorities for the project and suggested next steps.
Where appropriate, we’ll also outline how we could support you further, including our hourly rate, an estimate of the cost for a recommended package of work and our terms.
